“visiting Temples, I prefer Karnak over all other temples. I don't think Abu Simbel is not worth the 3 hour travel and early wake up. over all Nile River cruise is a wonderful experience specifically for 1st time traveller to Egypt. it's very educational, the guides are well versed on their craft. “We loved the cruise. The ship was very clean and the service was fantastic. Meals were also really good. Our guide Samy Saleh was fabulous. The best we had in Egypt. He was very knowledgeable and “like a book”. He also took great care of our group and made sure everyone got on to the next part of their journey okay. The organiser (Eriny) however was disorganised, booked a flight that made us late to the first tour and terrible at communication. She also clearly booked our trip last minute (days before we went in October) despite me booking it in March. If you can avoid her, you’ll have a good experience.”

Her English was limited, and her explanations lacked depth or context—often reduced to phrases like “This is Amun Ra” or “This is Ramses,” with no background or storytelling. We were moved to a cleaner cabin, but it no where near matched what was advertised. The advertised photo shown is probably a 6/7 star cabin. The itinerary is not accurate. For the first half-day excursion, I had to contact GYG support to get pickup details, as the operator sent no information and did not respond to any messages. “Do not believe the ratings online!! The tour guides pressure people into writing these comments in front of them so they can get performance bonuses. Nice Tours is completely unreliable and disorganised, and I would never recommend it to anyone. They would never ever EVER reply to our messages or pick up the phone within a reasonable timeframe, and we felt completely in the dark during our trip.
