I don't think Abu Simbel is not worth the 3 hour travel and early wake up. over all Nile River cruise is a wonderful experience specifically for 1st time traveller to Egypt. it's very educational, the guides are well versed on their craft. “We booked a 3-day cruise trip in Egypt with my family last week in December, which included a balloon ride advertised for sunset views. Because we were placed in the third wave, we ended up waiting on the ground until the sunset was already over, After landing, a guide requested additional payment for videos/photos. We paid and were told the files would be sent shortly, but even after one month we still have not received anything, despite following up with the tour guides. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this operator.”
