We had a stop at a store on the 2.5 hour drive from Ha Noi which was a lot smaller than the one we'd stopped at going to Ha Long Bay, but it also had things that were different. The history of Hoa Lu was great, as were the ancient pagodas, but I feel the tour guides in Vietnam are very long winded, as they do extensive lectures, with no visual context. I'm a school teacher and I'd suggest maybe a one page visual…”

The staff directed the que to push back into a single line. In the dark and wet my partner was pushed back into the Iconsiam water feature, where her evening dress and leather bag and contents was soaked. She was injured on the knee and hip, oblivious to the staff. We quickly had to buy a new outfit. We were not happy!!!”
